Card Condition Guide

When buying singles, condition matters. We grade our cards using common condition categories so you have a clear idea of what to expect before you buy.

Condition is assessed based on visible wear, including scratches, whitening on edges or corners, bends, creases, dents, print lines, and other surface flaws. Cards are graded as accurately as possible, and photos may be provided for higher-value cards upon request.

Near Mint (NM)

The card looks essentially new. There may be a very slight imperfection from handling or packaging, but it shows no meaningful wear. Near Mint cards are ideal for play or collecting and are suitable for sleeving straight out of the package.

Lightly Played (LP)

The card shows minor wear such as light edge whitening, small surface scratches, or slight corner wear. These flaws are minor and may not be noticeable during play. Lightly Played cards are still in great shape and are a solid choice for players and collectors alike.

Moderately Played (MP)

The card has noticeable wear that is visible without close inspection. This may include more significant edge whitening, surface scratches, light creasing, or border wear. The card is still structurally sound and playable, but the wear is apparent.

Heavily Played (HP)

The card shows heavy wear across multiple areas. Expect significant whitening, deep scratches, creases, or other flaws that are clearly visible. Heavily Played cards are typically best suited for casual play, budget decks, or placeholders.

Damaged (D)

The card has severe damage that affects its condition, structure, or playability. This may include major bends, tears, water damage, heavy creasing, peeling, ink, or writing on the card. Damaged cards are sold as-is.
